Are you a comic book fan? Are you a techie? Then this iPad is a must for you and you can get it for free!
Collecting artwork is a very very expensive hobby. However, serious collectors invest in art—particularly in one-of-a-kind pieces. But, of course, it's in a different league versus collecting toys or comic books. Moreover, art can always be rendered in so many mediums.
With the recent comic book launches of Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo's "Trese 4: Last Seen After Midnight" and the second edition of Gerry Alanguilan's Eisner-nominated "Elmer," National Book Store is giving away 2 Apple iPads with unique art in the back through a raffle! A "Trese"-fied iPad with art from Baldisimo and an "Elmer"-ized iPad with artwork from Alanguilan.
I've never seen anything like it before. I've seen these babies up close and the pictures shown don't give them justice. It's cool to own an Apple iPad but what makes it cooler is that you get artwork from Pinoy comic book artists!
How can you win the iPads?
It's easy actually. All you have to do is get a copy of "Trese 4: Last Seen After Midnight" and the second edition of "Elmer" at National Book Store and fill out the raffle stub. It's that easy! But I suggest you hurry up because the "Trese 4" promo is only until October 31! "Elmer," on the other hand started last October 15 and will run until November 15.
The "Trese"-fied iPad features the main characters, Alexandra Trese and The Kambal along with the creatures that go bump in the night. Baldisimo outdid himself with the iPad seriously.
The "Elmer"-ized iPad features the gorgeous and detailed artwork of Alanguilan himself. "Elmer" is featured at the back of the iPad and is sure to grab attention from anyone in the vicinity.
Personally, I think that this is real good for the Philippine comics industry. Both "Trese 4" and "Elmer" have great storylines and superb art. Seriously you can get either or both as Christmas gifts for friends. (Just get the raffle stub for the iPad.)
"Trese 4: Last Seen After Midnight" and the 2nd Edition of "Elmer" are exclusively available in National Book Store outlets.
