Komikon 2011

For those comic book fans (like me) and for those who want a quick look at how cool Philippine comics currently is, you might want to attend Komikon 2011 and be blown away by the awesome talent Pinoys have.

Consider me bias but I am attending this to secure my copy of Trese Book 4.

This year will be a big bang full of features for Komikon 2011 with Special Guests: Tony DeZuniga (Jonah Hex), Carlo Vergara (Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah) and Gerry Alanguilan (2011 Eisner nominee, Elmer). This year they will have their first-ever ‘Komiks Kalye‘ – featuring international Filipino talents: Carlo Pagulayan (Planet Hulk), Stephen Segovia (Thor: The Deviants Saga, Silver Surfer), Heubert Khan Michael (Vampirella), Edgar Tadeo (Sigil) and Wilson Tortosa (Bring The Thunder).

Also, this year, catch this year’s latest local comic books and graphic novels, like Pugad Baboy Volume 23, Trese 4: Seen After Midnight and much more. Komikon 2011 will host 42 (Yes, 42!) independent comic book creators in their ‘Independent Komiks Tiangge‘.

And last, Komikon 2011 will host their 3rd Philippines Komikon Reader’s Choice Awards.
